so i think i saved this on KU because i saw one line of it from a reel who knows how long ago. not sure what compelled me but i literally started and finished this today LMAO. i think i just needed a brain numbing book today, and this did the trick!
it’s a billionaire and a girl who grew up super poor, work place romance, where the MMC realizes “he can buy everything BUT love” like give me a break. i feel like i just don’t even care about this book, the plot wasn’t interesting and there were so many added details that i just,, didn’t give an f about, but their dynamic was compelling enough that i read the whole thing. today. not the worst thing ive read but i will probably never think about this book again <3 also the epilogue had me like 😳😮 like damn girl, that’s a BIT much

My first fem dom book and I didn’t hate it. Not sure I’ll read another one though - there really aren’t any other authors that write mature emotionally intelligent characters like Guerre and I don’t think I would enjoy the trope from anyone with less deft of a hand.

After way too many books where the women are always submissive I went on the hunt for an HBIC and this delivered. Guerre didn't pull any punches while also creating a story that was sweet and engaging. I enjoyed following Kate and Mikhail on their journey and really liked the ending.
