She’d always imagined herself manning the guillotine during the revolution, not jerking off the ruling the class.
I adoooooooooored this book and read it so fast!
Kate is an employee at a tech company and one day unknowingly flies off the handle at none other than the CEO, Mikhail. Her actions speak to him in a way that he can't ignore and presents an offer of whatever she wants in exchange for her dominating him.
Now, was this super porny? Yes. However, the story itself was a refreshing take on a boss/employee relationship and I was so sad when I reached the end.

Finished this while I was sick and could barely see-- but considering this was my second read of it, I wasn't that mad. First read rated a 5 stars, and I still believe this is a great book. I love how it's written, the relationship between Mikhail and Kate, and how puppy-ish Mikhail could be. I only rated it as a 4 stars this read-through because of my opinions about the main character. The plot was good, but pretty lackluster (though, considering it was a book based around their romantic relationship, having (mostly) only romantic moments throughout the book isn't necessarily a bad thing-- I just wish there was a bit more). However, I felt as though a large part of their relationship (especially on Kates side, though i think I only think that because it's in her own point of view) is miscommunication, and that is something that I have never enjoyed in real life or in my books. The main conflict in this book could be fixed if the two MC's were just honest with each other about their feelings-- something that is not uncommon in books, but is a trope I'm not the biggest fan of reading.

Such an interesting dynamic. It made the plot really exciting. For the length of the book, I think the character development was really good and I also didn’t hate the writing which deserves an applause in of itself because I DNFed the last two books I tried to read.
