This book totally flips the billionaire trope on its head and it was done SO WELL. I loved Kate, I love Mikhail. Loved absolutely everything about this.

The subversion of the billionaire trope made this a really fun read.
ARC recieved from author
This book is second in the series of Indecent Proposals but can be read as a standalone. Overall I enjoyed it but not as much as the previous one.
The main characters share a brief encounter that leaves the MMC Mikhail offering the FMC Kate a transactional relationship.
Pros
I think the author did a good job at showing that Kate was more fascinated by the femdom role than monetarily motivated.I also liked how the femdom role was represented. I have read other books where the FMCs are depicted as aggressive and angry when interacting with others. I truly loathe when dominant woman are depicted this way. Kate is NOT like that in the book which is awesome. She is confident and competitive in a good way. The spicy scenes are great aswell.
Cons
This is a rare complaint for me but I wish the book was longer. I think it would've helped with the flow of the story more. I wanted more buildup, more romance and more backstory for the leads. Another issue I had was with the billionaire argument. I get that Kate felt hypocritical for buying luxury items. But I didn't like that she used her role to make him use his money for good causes instead of him just doing it becuase it's the right thing to do.
The author is a really interesting storyteller and I look forward to the next book.

The story is very light and enjoyable. Very fast with sex and very slow with the feelings.
One of the best grovel /apology scenes I've read.

no because why was this amazing?? like??? did not know reading about a billionaire getting dominated would make me this happy but here we are ladies and gentlemen.
I wasn't sure about this book at first. I was initially a little uncomfortable with Kate and Mikhail's dynamic. I didn't know these characters at all and right off the bat, I'm supposed to believe this hot Russian billionaire is totally cool with being the sub of this woman he just met? I think I might just prefer slowburn with eventual d/s over the contractual way these characters start out.
However, as their relationship progressed, I got way more comfortable with their d/s dynamic. I loved seeing the sweet comfort moments amongst the harsher sexy times. Plus, they had such a good, angsty progression from contractual to real relationship. I wound up highly enjoying this book.
Hoping that maybe Angel gets a book with her mystery man? I also wouldn't mind Anna's brother, Theo, getting a book, or maybe learning more about Naomi.
