2.25/5
“Mishka….Katya”
Honestly i read this book so quickly, it was short but good not going to lie.
As soon as Katrina and Mikhail had met, you could see the sparks of not electricity but heat, pure boiling fire. This fire didn’t dim, not even when they had written up a slightly absurd contract, it actually got bigger.
Mikhail felt as if he could never tell what love was because he had never been introduced to it, but whenever something had concerned Katrina… his heart tugs from left to right.
Katrina felt an instant pull to Mikhail, once knowing about the contract she agreed, yeah obviously for the money. But she slowly drifted away from the real reason she had signed the documents, and dun dun dun it was because of love tehe.
So ye short book, good main characters and good smut.

This book is camp, I loved it.

Guerre takes a ridiculous premise and actually addresses in-universe. I loved the actual social-economic discussion around billionaires and how they shouldn’t exist.

The whole premise of a dom using the arrangement to fund leftist social/political causes is so…. Fucking genius.

Complements to chef.

Foreal this book is sweet, spicy and funny. Guerre keeps the romance as the main driving point while keeping the universe somewhat grounded. Not many authors able to do that. It feels like a lot of recent books are just hot people moving from sex scene to sex scene with a crazy plot trying to tie the whole thing together. Guerre’s “grounded” approach  feels refreshing in comparison.

Only reason I’m not rating higher is because the side characters need work.

Banter is ok. Smut is good. Story is sweet.
