This will be my review for the whole of this 'book series' as it is basically an entirely too long book.
An unserious read to pass the time, the logic of this series is entirely fucked up, many plot holes and plot armour out the wazoo, but some strong points when not ramy. Was it worth a few month's reading attention? Definitely, decent to exceptional for this type of Light Novel.

Rating the series up until chapter 750.
This is good xianxia. Basically like I Shall Seal The Heavens but with more emotional bits. It becomes boring around chapter 700, where we lose sight of purpose and meaning and the main character goes to random challenges and trials for the hell of it.
Characters: 2.5/5 mostly generic xianxia with some touching parts
World: 3/5 I liked it
Story: 2/5 It was fine, till it became meaningless
Characters:
These are your standard xianxia characters. The main character is pursuing dao and kills people who want to harm him and repays kindness a hundred fold. You know the drill. There are several areas where there is some emotional stuff, which is nice. It humanizes the mc in a way that other xianxia books fail to do. Of course, he still isn't a particularly good fantasy character.
World:
Fine. It's the standard Er Gen thing, but with travelling through space and to other planet earlier in the story, which I appreciate, because it provides more variety.
Story:
Same as ISSTH. It's just xianxia. That's why I read this stuff, because it is psychologically safe and I can read the same story again and again with minor variations. This one lets you get to the stars sooner, which is nice. It fails in a unique way compared to the author's other books. A Will Eternal failed when the main character suddenly switched personality traits around chapter 900. ISSTH failed when the main character got close to the top of the world and started a boring and confusing war around chapter 800. This failed when the main character was still muddling around doing random challenges that nobody cares about. I think the main failure was that we ran out of interesting side characters. As strange as it is, xianxia depends on the 2d side characters such as enemy sects and pretentious inner disciples to drive the story and the mc forward. Because the mc went to a different star system, there were too few side characters driving the story so it seems like the mc is moving rather aimlessly.

An enjoyable first entry to the xianxia novels. The progress of the main character was fun to read. I will definitely continue with the next volume in the future.
