So good! The audio by him was a must. I was uncertain when he started off talking about his family. He sounded pretty unremarkable, and I guess that was the tone he was trying to set. I’m just a kid who happened to be picked for HP. But I thought it was going to be a guy who thought he had exciting stories to tell when in reality he just fell in the lake one time when he was fishing.

But of course he brought the big guns and had entertaining and heartfelt stories about his time on HP. He has fun stories to tell! I had a shit eating grin throughout the book. I loved his experiences with individual actors on HP and how they helped shape him. He’s humble and shows appreciation and credit where it’s due.

He was a little preachy about mental health in the end, but I still appreciated it. Honestly they’re encouraging words I need to hear, but I was just like, huh, this is how you’re ending this book. Ok…?

Overall, I will likely listen to this again. Especially when I need a pick me up.

Felt completely validated when he said acting on HP was achieved almost entirely by wardrobe, set design, and camera work/editing. Cos I totally felt the acting was secondary to everything else. I didn’t know why the movies weren’t exactly amazing to me. I thought the acting was stiff and the dialogue lacking.

Standout quote: The only currency we are guaranteed in life are the effects we have on the people around us.

Maybe a 3.5, but also maybe not. More to come on the review when @hzieve is finished.
