Very straight to the point and honest. I like it. It gave me a lot of motivation to start acting on my political views instead of just announcing them in a passive lack of approach. Genuinely made me consider becoming a politician to take some serious action in a more wide-spread capacity. Well, we'll see how it goes. Don't bet on it, but I am definitely becoming more cautious and aware of my own perception and speak up when people have a not-so-respectful view on equality.

Important and really interesting, We should all be feminist is a quick and informative book. It only scratches the surface of what being a feminist is, though I believe it's a solid starting point for everyone wanting to delve into this subject and understand it more.
However, I'm having trouble rating this one, due to its being too heteronormative for me and presence of transphobia.

On first read in 2019: 4.5 stars. This is an excellent introductory text on feminism. My only real drawback is that I found some of the language used to be trans-exclusive (as femaleness is referred to frequently, more so than femme identity).
2024 reread overall rating: Leaving unrated. I appreciated the perspective provided specifically from Adichie's Nigerian heritage and culture. It's hard for me to look past the lack of intersectionality now though, particularly regarding the the very binary way gender is discussed.
