I don't even know how to formulate this review. I don't even know how to rate it. This book was interesting. It's not one of my favorite PLL books, but it was pretty epic. It was nice to get into "Ali's" head. I really enjoyed learning more about her, her family, and the weeks leading up to her death.
Now, Ali was really...let's go with mean. I knew that coming into this book that she was going to be snippy and rude and, just...yeah. But it was also nice to know why she did everything and how she was spiraling out of control, and how she was so sweet on the inside.
I understand why Ali was so spooked about opening the blinds in PLL, which I had never understood before.
Now, I really enjoyed Nick. About half way through the book though, I knew it was too good to be true. Something "Courtney" said earlier sparked my interest. It was about Tripp, her Boyfriend. I think Nick is Tripp, and I think he helped Ali kill "Ali."

Damn...this book had me on edge. I Loved every part of this book, it answered so many questions I have had through out the PLL series. Finally, I understand everything and it puts all of the other books together. I Loved this book, only thing I hated was the cliff hanger. but we all know this author is famous for those and just leaves you wanting more.

PLL is my guilty pleasure/teen soap opera series. I was talking to someone about how terribly awful the TV show is compared to the books, and that inspired me to actually finish the series. All the books are super quick reads and I can get them for free from my library. I picked this prequel up for a refresher, and it definitely jogged my memory, so I'm glad I read it before jumping back into the series.
**if you want to read pretty little liars DO NOT start with this book! you will majorly spoil yourself for the first 8 books in the series.**

I've never read any of the PLL books so I thought I would start with this one to see how they were. I was quite surprised to find that I really enjoyed it (well, way more than I thought I would)!

It's full of drama, secrets, interesting twists, and just crazy shit. This is a great setup for what's sure to be an engaging series!

i would recommend reading this between books 12 and 13, though i'm glad i read it before reading the final book. there are quite a few spoilers in there!!

i really enjoyed reading from ali's perspective and actually felt a little sorry for her at times - her behaviour made sense. doesn't excuse it but provides a pretty compelling reason as to why she was how she was.

i do find it weird that older guys were romantically interested in 12/13 year old girls though, like just write the characters older than making it real weird.
