It took me a while to get into this because of all of Anne's long-winded imaginative rants, but eventually I started to enjoy her character. I just wish we had more Gilbert in this one!

2024:
Właśnie zobaczyłam, że 2 lata temu mniej więcej w tym samym czasie zaczęłam i skończyłam czytać Anne.

Kocham jeszcze bardziej tę historię i bohaterów, a przede wszystkim Marillę. Zdecydowanie to jest książka mojego życia i z wielką radością będę do niej wracała.

"Sama nie wiem, co bym zrobiła, gdyby cię tu nie było... gdybyś nigdy do nas nie trafiła. Och, Anne, może czasem byłam zbyt szorstka i surowa, ale nie myśl, że kochałam cię mniej niż Matthew. Chcę ci to wyznać teraz, dopóki jestem w stanie. Zawsze z trudem przychodziło mi mówić od serca, ale w takiej chwili jest łatwiej. Kocham cię jak własne dziecko i od pierwszej chwili zawsze byłaś mi radością i pociechą."


2022:
"To był bardzo szczególny czas w moim życiu - powiedziała na koniec. - Jakby zupełnie nowa epoka. Ale najlepsze w nim było jedno: powrót do domu."

Przepiękna historia, wspaniali bohaterowie. Na zmianę płakałam ze śmiechu, z wzruszenia i ze smutku. Chciałabym napisać coś mądrego, ale nie jestem w stanie. Po prostu zakochałam się.
