I really liked this, you will enjoy it the most if you enjoy word play. I don't know the rules of grammar well enough to get all the jokes, but I enjoyed the ones I understood. Funny, very good writing. I really enjoyed the way the author moved between point-of-veiw characters. It gave the book a lot of movement even in scenes that could have been pretty staid.

This was a quick, fun, and witty read. At times I enjoyed the wordplay and grammar lessons, and at other times it was too pedantic and drawn out for me. There are frequent character POV and timeline changes, which did not bother me but I could see how it could bug others.

A perceptive study of family relationships, written with such clarity and cleverness. And if you enjoy wordplay, you’ll love this book. Brava Cathleen Schine!
