People said Ove saw the world in black and white. But she was color. All the color he had.

I FINALLY FINISHED A BOOK EVERYBODY MOVED

It took me over a month to finish this book, but only because I picked it up maybe twice. I've been in the worst reading slump since the year started, but I'm really hoping this brings me out of it, because I loved this so much! I'm on a mission to try and read more "adult" books this year, and this one was just so well-written and moving. Proof that I CAN read something without romance...anyways, I highly recommend this, and I can't wait to read more books by Fredrik Backman.

I was hesitant about reading this book. I read Beartown last year and had such a hard time getting through it but I flew through this book! This was not what I was expecting at all and I was extremely surprised at how much I enjoyed this book! I now understand the hype!

I grew up with a Swedish father and I am married to a Swede. This book in addition to being hilarious is very true to life. In chapter 28 Ove is described as "unforgiving" because he wouldn't return to a local bakery after receiving the wrong change. I can't tell you the number of places written off by both my father and husband. The saying goes you can tell a Swede but you can't tell him much. That is Ove. Beautifully written and very touching. Highly recommend.
