EDITED: Junji Ito, I'm waiting for the 2nd part of this one. There's no way that the story ended just like that.

.
.

I honestly had a hard time deciding if I should give this a perfect 5 because I really did love the 1st part of the story so much but the 2nd part happened and it just did ruin it for me. BUT I WILL.

There's really a lot disturbing, gory and unexplained things going on just like Ito's other previous books but in this case, I believed that it's more in this story. I did drew a lot of theories from the hints but couldn't really point out which one should I lined with. Despite that, I did enjoy Lovesickness way too much and couldn't get it out of my head.

Once again, Junji Ito surprised me with his mind works. The storytelling and premise were amazing.

Although the 1st part left me hanging plus the 2nd part which I really didn't care about, I still enjoyed this book so much.

Overall, Lovesickness is just so good. I'll definitely reread soon.

This is the third Junji Ito book I’ve read and I’m really starting to think I won’t like anything but his short stories. I ended up dnfing this book after the first 111 pages I just didn’t care enough to finish this and like the last book of his I read reading this had started to feel like a chore.

I enjoyed the first half MUCH more than the second half, I just really didn’t care about the second half at all. This was definitely not my favorite Junji Ito work either, but this was still a perfect read for spooky season.
