A great book about sisterhood and of womanhood. I have never seen the movie so i wanted to read before watching and my heart….tears were shed and i got annoyed with Jo and Amy at moments and even Meg. But all in all this was a great book and i feel like i am an Amy

Classic story beautifully written. No matter how many times I read the story it still resonates with me and touches a place deep in my heart. Wonderful stories, words, and hopes to live by.

At first I didn't like the preachy moral lessons-- they were a little too much, but later, as the girls grew older, there was less preachiness, and the characters became more interesting. The narrative was very long and meandering, however! (I wonder if there is an abridged version??)
