Where can I get one of Elle Kennedy’s SEALs? Ms. Kennedy delivers some of the sexiest, naughtiest, most entertaining heroes in her Out of Uniform series and the to-die-for Ryan Evans is no exception. His genuine joy, good humor, and care for his friends grabbed me from the start and the vulnerabilities he has beneath the surface tugged at my heart. Ryan has no problem been wicked and it was a delight to watch him unearth Annabelle’s erotic potential. A major reason Heat of the Night is such a fun read is the sparks that fly between Annabelle and Ryan. Two such likeable, compatible characters are just made to be together and I zipped through Heat of the Night, loving every minute the devil-may-care Ryan and sarcastic Annabelle were together.
Heat of the Night is the fifth story in the Out of Uniform series, but it can be read on its own. All the heroes and heroines from the previous Out of Uniform tales (Heat of the Moment, Heat of Passion, Heat of the Storm, and Heat it Up) make at least a brief appearance, and Jane (of Heat it Up) plays a major role. Ryan’s roommate and best friend, Matt O’Connor, also spices things up in Heat of the Night, and it’s no spoiler to say he helps Ryan and Annabelle cross one thing off her list. Ms. Kennedy has me almost drooling for the last single member of SEAL Team Fifteen to get his story.
Heat of the Night is an aptly-titled book that is pure, sexy fun. Ryan and Annabelle’s romance is sweet, scorchingly erotic, and entertaining all the way through. I loved Heat of the Night and can’t wait for The Heat is On, when Ryan’s roommate meets his match.

This series are enjoyable east fun short reads. I think this one was one of my favorites, so far. Can't wait to get to the 7th in the series, which is actually full length instead of a short story.

I KNEW I was going to love Ryan's book. He is so awesome. And I ADORE Annabelle and her sarcasm and her take-no-shit attitude. Probably my fav book in the series.

This was a pretty good book. Annabelle's list wasn't nearly as kinky as mine would have been. But it made for some mild steam. I wasn't thrilled that she had sex with someone else while Ryan watched, but it didnt ruin the story for me like it might have in another story that I was emotionally invested in the characters. That wasn't the case in this story. While both charachhters were funny and witty, to me this book was mostly about sex which as I stated before, in my opinion was only mildly heated. I will say that some parts of the story made me giggle because I liked the banter. Overall a pretty decent story.

This was forgettable. Ryan climbs into Christina’s bed for a fun evening, only to find that it’s not Christina after all. Instead, Annabelle is crashing there while Christina is off eloping with her boyfriend. When Ryan rushes out in apology, he doesn’t notice that he picked up an extra piece of paper off the floor and is thrilled to discover a list of fantasies that he helps Annabelle to fulfill.

This was fine, cute and smutty but don't except any emotional connection beyond 1 level up from sex. Feels like the male lead had more emotions toward his crush on the other girl, until we we're supposed to believe he all of the sudden doesn't anymore but it definitely doesn't feel that way.
