2 hours 33 minutes - A decent mystery novel, not quite up to the standards of the first in the series. I like the change in characters - using background characters from the previous novel is a good way of preventing a needless sense of repetition. Some characters I absolutely loved, particularly Knox, while others I could never quite get to grips with, such as Phoebe. The plot could have been better - it didn't really live up to its predecessor nor its blurb, and there is still the unrealistic 'every teen has 'life-ruining' secrets'. Out of context, it is an enjoyable enough book, but with the knowledge of the first book, it is a little disappointing, and could have been more.

the plot on this one was better than the first book , but i love the character on "one of us i lying" more . Knox basically carried this book !! cuz without him i probably would've dnf it

the og4 was featured in this book too . i love that I could read about  them more after the Simon incident . Nate and Bronwyn !!

This book is absolutely amazing. I could not stop reading it!
I totally thought that it was Phoebe behind everything since she was so adamant about Maeve not looking at the revenge forums. I was very surprised to find out it was Emma (her older sister). Then I found out it was Owen!?!? By the last chapter, I was sure that the plot twists were over so I was not prepared to find that out. I wonder if anyone else will find out that it was Owen that continued the messages.

This book has a lot of great twists and turns.

I absolutely tore through this book, and as much as I loved the main characters, I didn't like the mystery, or, to be fair, several mysteries that happened to be connected.

There was the Truth or Dare game,
the Intense Guy, the threats for Eli, and then the personal problems (Knox's family life and love life, Maeve's leukemia possibly returning, Phoebe's dad's death).
When you add in the other people at school, the cameos of the Bayside Four, and all the other side characters, it was quite overwhelming.

I feel like the answer to the mysteries was a bit convoluted and trite. The fact that the ending was a bit vague and cut off makes it even worse; there are no answers about what happens next, what happens to their lives, which for me was a big plus in the first book.

Overall, worth reading for the amazing characters and world, but not for the actual mystery.
