An incredible memoir-esque resource for queer people and our allies alike ♥️
As a queer and trans nonbinary person and professional who works with other queer folx, I have been recommending this book for allies. This book is an insightful window into trans experiences, as well as what allyship looks like in terms of action and I am so thankful to have something like this to recommend. This book will saves lives, and no doubt already has.
This is an excellent book for learning about a subject that is new to some of us. I highly recommend it. It is pretty long, and the library sucked it back before I finished it. I decided not to compete with the many others who were/are waiting for it.
Listened on audio - clear, helpful, direct. Incredible courage from Schuyler in his desire to educate and invite folks in to build understanding.
Especially loves his thoughts on how the transgender community challenges and threatens patriarchy and how that is what has made them a target of such hateful & harmful rhetoric.
