What’s not to love about a mafia, alpha male romance?

Elena’s sister is to marry don Nico - the only problem is, Elena’s body calls to him, and his to her. When an opportunity arises, Nico switches sisters. But can Elena resist falling in love with Nico, lest he break her heart?

I did enjoy this book, however it loses at least 0.5 stars because the characters felt a bit 2D at times. I’d have liked more from Elena, more passion, more fire. And less talk of how perfect her t*ts and arse are. Nico was perfection though!

The Sweetest Oblivion is the first book in the made man series. Elena’s family is a part of the mafia and decides to marry off Elena’s sister to Nico who is a part of another mafia. Elena’s would of been marrying Nico because she is the oldest sister but as she isn’t a “virgin” her younger sister has to take her place. During family outings her with and Nico family, Elena discovers that she has feeling for Nico. There is a lot of sexual tensions between both Elena and Nico but they never act on it. When their family restaurants getting shot up Elena’s sister tells everyone that she is pregnant with someone else’s baby. This leads to Nico making an agreement with Elena’s father to let him marrying Elena instead. At first Elena’s is against but has to move in with Nico as soon as it is announced to her. There is a lot of drama and tension throughout this book. I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars.
