This was delightful, the best sort of biography. It’s as laugh out loud funny as it is informative. The thematic approach, devoting chapters to focused aspects of QE2’s life as seen through various prisms - like, how she’s appeared in notable Britons’ dreams, or how she’s been depicted at Madame Tussaud’s - was far more entertaining than any “straightforward” biography I’ve read.
