The third book in the Farmer Falgu series sees Falgu on his way to the kite-flying festival with his daughter. As Falgu drives his cart towards the festival, he picks up some other friends on the way: Pushpa, the fortune teller and Ahmed, the balloon-man. Each lose something but Falgu positivity shines through and together they solve their problems. There is a nice repetition here with actions and again, Nair's vibrant and engaging illustrations are a bright mirror into life at the Rajasthan kite-flying festival. I love how implicitly, rural life is shared throughout the book.
