Okay, I’ve been inspired by my very active goodreads reviewing cousins who are probably reading this to write a review! So, I was obsessed with One Last Stop. We knew I’d be. Since red white and royal blue I’d just been waiting for the wlw version, and it was pretty much all I’d hoped for. Far too much pining for my taste in the first half but eventually they got there. The amount of unselfconscious kissing on a crowded subway felt a little unrealistic, but like there was no way around it, so good for them. And like the time travel part was a little sus at first but in the end my sci-fi nerd was adequately satisfied. The whole detective/missing person plot line with Augie was a little weird at first (like august was even named after him??! are people actually that obsessive?) but I’m a sucker for it all being tied together in the end, again, it got there. And thank you Casey McQuinston for the happy ending, 40 pages out from the end I was so ready to yell at you. The side characters were all amazing, Isaiah and Niko have my heart. I loved the casual magic. I can’t think critically about anything, so I couldn’t tell you if it lived up to RWaRB, but I thought it was fun and colorful and had lots going on and is definitely a good binge read to catch me up on my reading goal!

This book was everything I was hoping it would be and more. It is so full of joy and queer joy specifically and I can't even begin to describe how warm it made me feel to read about a bunch of queer people in love and being unapologetic and messy (in a good way). It was delightful and it filled me with such hope for the future when we can actually have pride events again and I can surround myself with queer people and community again.

Until that time, I will shout off the top of every building I can: please read this book!!!

I loved the aspect of the train in this book. The friendship is also amazing to watch grow.

Took a little while to get going, but when it did it was hard to put down! The banter and characters were top notch.
