A nice change from paranormal romance. Though romance is touched upon slightly it does not take away from the storyline or the case. Very enjoyable and captivating read.

About a psychic who "tunes in" to serial killers. She's run away from an especially awful bunch of murders in L.A. to North Carolina, only to find herself plagued by a local killer. Pretty good, if pat. Good suspense, at least, and a somewhat interesting twist when the killer is finally discovered.

Re-read of one of my favorites. I really like this series--the characters are really interesting. This may lead to a binge of this series.

This is my first book by this author and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. It was creepy and spooky and sucked me right in. The part I hated most was that I started reading it during the week and I had to walk away from it to go to work. Great read!

I really enjoy Kay Hoopers books. She smoothly combines a murder mystery with at least one paranormal character (usually more) and a romance or two.

In this outing, psychic Cassie has burned out from her work helping the police hunting serial killers. Cassie can slip into the minds of the killers and see through their eyes to help the police find them and save the victim. Unfortunately, Cassie's last case ended in tradgedy and she moved to a small town to try to live a normal life.

Unfortunately, peace for Cassie wasn't to be. Shortly after she arrives in the small town where an estranged aunt (who was also psychic) left Cassie a house, women begin to be murdered here too.

Cassie talks to the local sheriff, as she unintentionally saw through the killer's eyese and wants to help. The sheriff doesn't believe in psychic mumbo-jumbo and ignores her - until more women are murdered just as Cassie said they would be.

The local judge is more receptive to Cassie and her abilities, and before long Cassie is once again in the thick of hunting a killer. The problem is that when Cassie enters the mind of the killer, the killer also enters Cassie's mind.

The story moves briskly along, with exciting (if a bit predictable) twists and turns. There is also a romance in the background for a bit of added spice. All in all a fun, easy read. A good effort from Hooper.

So great. I love the fully developed characters combined with the paranormal aspects!

This was a really good crime thriller and a really awful romance novel. Had the relationship between the protagonist and her lover been more credible I would have given this four stars.

Very good. Fast paced, it kept my attention. Lost one star for changing points of view on multiple characters.
