Is dit boek goed? Nee. Is dit boek vermakelijk en makkelijk te lezen (en een beetje cringe)? Ja! Ik heb het zoveel sneller gelezen dan ik verwacht had en hoewel ik niet echt om de personages ben gaan geven, was ik toch steeds benieuwd wat er ging gebeuren.

Its good. I enjoyed it. But i read this series before i knew that the writer allegedly plagiarized Red Queen series (ive never read Red Queen before so idk). My rating of this book just shows how much i enjoyed this book, i dont condone plagiarism tho

I enjoyed the  magic system as it felt refreshingly different. However, the story leaned too heavily on familiar Hunger Games-style elements, and I struggled to connect with the characters, as the writing sometimes felt surface-level. That said, the plot picked up well toward the end, leaving me interested enough to continue with the series.

This was one of the more captivating books I’ve read in a minute!!! It’s LITERALLY Spark of the Everflame meets the Hunger Games/Triwizard Tournament, I was loling at how unoriginal it was, BUT I still ate up every minute of it! My jaw was on the floor at the ending 👏🏼

The writing isn’t a style I like and the chapter sequence doesn’t make sense. It also is too similar to the Red Queen and is reading more like fanfiction than an original work. Thats fine if it is indeed fanfiction.

The longing!!!! The banter and snarky comments!!!! I’m obsessed. Why did it take me so long to start this book?! The slow burn romance between Kai and Paedyn gave me butterflies. The way that Kai is a big softy for Pae, and Pae ONLYYYY! (Besides Jax & Kitt)

It’s giving Hunger Games, but, I’m not mad. This was a fun read. My only note is that, the trials took up the majority of this book, and it wasn’t giving all that much. Maybe I’m a psychopath, but, I wanted the trials to be more violent. Still entertaining, though! I ate this up!

The ending rewired my system. The plot twist, I didn’t see coming, so the ending is a moral clusterfuck!! Either way, she did what she had to do. I’ll stand by my girl for that!!!
