Clever and complex, but not clever and complex when it comes to gender. Casually and deeply misogynistic in ways that I may not be able to/am refusing to appreciate if they’re ironic. Very very funny and I love all the ways the MC is othered and embraced by American and/or Muslim characters. Loved that it was so grounded in Philadelphia too.
