Can I get an order form for a hot Marine that has manners and is so darn sweet that sugar tastes sour? I'd also love the Texas drawl we know he has being from Catfish Creek. When you add in the naughty things I'd let him...I mean he knows how to do...I'd say priceless. Where to find such a man?

If you are in need, you can find him in Honor. It would be an Honor to spend some time with Derek Spencer that is for sure. I had fun with the hot service man on leave and I guarantee you will enjoy it too.

I really enjoyed Tessa and Derek's story. Derek is on an emergency leave from the Marines because his father was sick, so his mom decided to take advantage of that and set him up with Tessa, a former classmate and nurse taking care of his father. Their date is only supposed to be for the reunion, but with someone harassing Tessa Derek decides to stick around longer. The mystery aspect of this book intrigued me and I liked the way that played out. The only problem I had was the first time Derek and Tessa had sex felt like it came out of left field. They hadn't really kissed or had much buildup to that point. Once I got passed that, I enjoyed the story again. It was a good novella and I give it 4 stars.

Honor (Bad Boy Homecoming #4) by Kennedy Layne is a sweet high school reunion story with a bit of a twist. Cardiac care nurse Tessa Daniels is being stalked and it is freaking her out and is escalating. But she is trying not to let it keep her from living her life. Derek Spencer is a Marine and wasn’t planning on even being in the US for his high school reunion but is home on emergency leave because his dad had a heart attack. His mom sets him up with Tessa for the reunion. As they get reacquainted Derek is determined to find out who her stalker is and stop them before someone gets hurt. Danger, excitement and love.

Ooh...I love how this book in the Bad Boy Homecoming series took a turn for the darker side and ratcheted up the suspense and tension! Derek is the ultimate in military heroes, home on emergency leave due to the sudden illness of his father, who is in the hospital where his one time high school crush, Tessa works. I loved both Tessa and Derek for their commitment to the well being of the friends and family in their lives and found the chemistry between them explosive. The mystery of this short book was intriguing and kept me wondering. I have to admit that I didn't see the culprit to the crime coming, which was a nice surprise.

There sexy times are HOT in this one, with a few steamy scenes that showcase the bond between Tessa and Derek. There's something so intriguing about a second chance romance, and I wondered how it would end with Derek returning to military swrvicve, but the grand gesture in this one is so sweet, and it made me smile! I love a sweet hEA, and this one absolutely delivers.

This is admittedly my first Kennedy Layne novel, but after some quick research I see she has an extensive backlist for me to choose from. I love finding a new-to-me author with a big backlist so I can go binge read!

this is a great addition to the Bad Boy homecoming series! Go get you some sexy second chance romance!

I feel so conflicted about this one, everyone seems to like it but I just couldn't get into it...Quick read and somewhat enjoyable but the writing kept putting me off which is why I'm giving it only 2.5*. In the end, I've decided to round down to 2* even if I did like the plot itself. Personally, this book was a bit frustrating. I found that the suspense aspect was quite nice (for me, this was its only saving grace) and the premise for the characters worked but it was limited by the writing. Often, I couldn't tell whose POV it was because their voices were the basically the SAME, and the mix of informal and formal / essay-like speech got on my nerves quickly. Often, I felt like it needed another editng round. The plot has me wanting to give it 3* but I just can't.
