A wonderfully witty, fun, and steamy romance! I absolutely loved Pheobe, I can completely identify with her awkward moments and independent nature. While at first it seems Spencer will just be a great reference for Phoebe's article he then shows his softer sexy side and boy is it sexy!!! I have loved every story I have read by this author and this one sure didn't disappoint! It is a summer must read.

i mean honestly!? how does she keep doing this?

I always expect that best from Mae. She delivers on fun, steamy, swoon worthy characters and this time was no different! I absolutely loved every minute of this book. I was wishing it was longer cause i didn't want it to end!

I really loved these characters. Phoebe and Spencer were legit everything. i loved their banter and how they didnt like eachother AT ALL at first. Phoebe was constantly making me crack up she was so funny. Then you had Spencer and his dirty mouth and broody personality. ughhhh i just loved them!!

I cant wait for more from Mae. I seriously just love her books so much!

Funny, sexy novella full of great characters.

Phoebe is on a vacation based work assignment and while she loves the location she chose, she doesn’t believe in her assignment. Still she pushes through and in turn gets turned down by every guy she meets.

Spencer has been burned in the past and doesn’t want to deal with a bar bunny trying to score, despite the instant attraction.

Fate steps in and when they are brought together their chemistry is based on more than they thought.

Received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I can NOT say enough amazing things about Mae and her fan-fucking-tastic writing.

Thirsty Boy is an adorable short story about Phoebe, a writer, who goes on an assignment she doesn't want to just to please her boss. On the first night of her assignment, she meets Spencer, a bartender who judges this book by her cover. Unfortunately for him, he seems to run into her too often in his small town and eventually become... more.

While the story is short and sweet, Mae has you falling in love with these two characters and wishing for more as you turn the last page.

Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick and sweet read.

Once again, I binged the entire book in one sitting, as i have done with all of Mae Harden's published works! She never fails to deliver. I actually did a little whoop and rushed to message the author when i saw that a new book had been released. Her writing style is the perfect pick me up. I love the way she writes her female characters, I love the half Alpha man, half adoring, sweet, loving man she has going on. The entire thing is simply delicious

Thirsty Boy by Mae Harden is part of the Boys of Summer series and is a quick, entertaining, steamy read.

Phoebe is a quirky, awkward writer in Sugar Creek on a mission to write her next article. She’s the resident “try-it” girl for her magazine and this time she must try to bed-surf. She walks into Riptides and unsuccessfully attempts to pick up numerous guys. Spencer, the owner of Riptides, is grumpy and jaded from a previous relationship. When he sees this sassy brunette attempt to pick up guys in his bar, he mistakenly makes an assumption about her and despises her, yet can’t help his attraction to her. A physical altercation results in Phoebe spending a night in Spencer’s guest room. As they learn about each other, the attraction develops to love.

I LOVED Phoebe and Spencer! These two were perfect for each other! Their chemistry was explosive and you could tell these two characters were made for each other through their effortless banter. This book was steamy and the dirty talk was on point! I fell in love with these characters and could not get enough of them in this book! The characters, their chemistry, their relationship, and their emotions were so beautifully conveyed it was difficult not to fall in love with them! I devoured this book in one sitting and can’t wait to revisit Sugar Creek at some point!

5 Stars!

POV: Dual (1st Person)
Tropes: Rom Com, Mistaken Identity
Triggers: None

Likes: So much!
The banter between Phoebe and Spencer is just hilarious at times! Plus the steam is off the charts hot!

Dislikes: I wish it was longer, I didn't want it to be over!

Synopsis: Thirsty Boy follows journalist Phoebe as she’s stuck between writing a magazine article on ‘bed surfing’ or being fired, and Spencer who’s the local bartender at the sleepy town she decided to pick for the task. What starts as a case of mistaken identity soon turns into an unlikely friendship. Will Spencer help her gather the information she needs, or will he want her for himself? Then what happens when her assignment is complete?
I’m not usually a novella fan, but I loved this so much! Would 100% recommend!
