Devoured this in less than a week. Extremely disappointed when I realized the (white) author was inspired to make a lighthearted fantasy by the 60s scoop (yikes), which was handled poorly, in retrospect

This book touched my heart so deeply, it reached inside of me and warmed me to my core. All of the children were so precious, even Lucifer.  What a lovely, feel good story. It made me feel warm and cozy, like sitting next to a nice fire.

This was my face the entire time reading it: 🥺

I don't know, I'm not sold. The plot twist was not really a surprise and was hyped up way too much. I'm not into the romance like they don't have any chemistry and I feel like there's no reason they like each other, except that there are no other queer men available I guess. Also, what are the odds, that this guy falls in love with both officers that are investigating him and they both like him back like COME ON? I liked the other side characters and their side arcs tho. It just didn't live up to the hype for me.

An absolutely enchanting story of found families & standing up for what you believe in.

I adored that the story centred around Linus, a middle-aged, slightly tubby, self-described nobody - Linus doesn’t seem like much at the start, but as we (and Linus) eventually realize, sometimes the most magical things can come from the ordinary.

I am but paper, brittle and thin…
