This freaking book!! I LOVED this one! It was fun, insightful, suspenseful, and romantic. It started out a romantic beach read type, and then there was a murder mystery added in which I loved. The main character, Daphne, is a plus size influencer and, as a plus size woman myself, I found her to be incredibly relatable. Her inner thoughts regarding her body and her journey to self-love were relatable, funny, sad, and empowering. Having tried out the influencer world on a small platform, I also loved that part of the book, too! This book highlights the pressures placed on women and reminds us that not everything, or everyone, is as they seem. Especially online. This story is centered around Daphne’s journey to self love and self empowerment as she deals with a toxic friendship, forgiveness, body acceptance, and finding love and worth in a world where thin and beautiful equals “better”.

I love Jennifer Weiner. Her writing is always fun and completely engaging. This story was no exception. It added a bit of a twist that I didn’t see coming and loved. Can people really change? This book is coming out in May and is PERFECT to read on a beach, or virtual beach with some wave sounds on the tv!

It was a beautifully written book and the themes were great. However, the book was just too slow moving for me. I’m a pretty fast reader (can finish a book in a couple of days) and this took me two weeks. It needed to pick up the pace some and it would have been excellent.

After Dune I wanted to zag and basically just Googled "summer reads." There's a twist but the mystery is only kind of okay and also the commentary on internet and influencers is also just kind of okay? I don't think this was For Me but it's fun to try stuff.

This was a fun read - I never knew what was coming next. Definitely kept me interested but the plot and ending weren’t super memorable overall.

Much better than Mrs. Everything!

Admittedly I only picked this up because of the bright colors on the cover. Was it a weird tone and genre shift halfway through the book? Yes. But it was a solid 3 stars all things considered.

I really liked how this book explored the idea of Instagram life vs Real life and how the two can be oceans apart. Daphne is a big girl in a small girl's world. All around her are thin, rich girls who make her feel less than. When she finally decides to accept herself, and take back her life, good things start happening for her. But she has to cut out her "best friend" Drue in order to achieve it. Fast forward to years later when Drue asks her to be in her wedding. It's a roller coaster of a ride after that, and Daphne learns a valuable lesson in how to live authentically, and be grateful for the good things life has given her. I liked Daphne a lot. I liked her journey. And I liked the idea that not everything you see is as picture perfect as it seems. We're just doing the best we can every day.

My first time listening to a sex scene in an audiobook was a Jennifer Weiner book, and my last time was this book
