This just had too much going on. I was prepared to give this three stars, because I wanted to be nice, but the ending just really went off the rails. It went bananas. And not a good way.
Wesley and Cooper broke up nine years ago. Wesley’s parents keep setting him up with losers so he lies and says he’s dating Cooper again even though they don’t have contact lmao. So Wesley offers to pay Cooper for ONE fake date dinner with his parents, but the parents then invite Cooper and his mom (who is dying of cancer) to a week at their beach house. I honestly liked the first few days at the beach house. It was cute. But it’s all building up to having them talk about why they broke up to begin with back in their teens. They broke up because Cooper was falling asleep during their dates and he felt bad and felt like a bad boyfriend????? Lmao. So then it’s like flashbacks of their teens and present day and they make up in the rain which was kinda cute but then it was flashbacks to them having advanced sex as teens in lingerie and talking kinks at 16??? Uhm. And then there’s some weird romantic gestures in front of family and they feel each other up in front of family and the family members cry …. No stop please. Then they leave the beach house promising to date and communicate and Wes finds out Cooper is being evicted bc of the time he took off the the beach house and the mom gets sick and they break up again? Then Cooper apologizes and they get back together and the mom dies and leaves him life insurance so he can get his pilots license.
I’m tired. It was messy. Hard to follow with flashbacks and present day. I never connected with the MC’s because I felt like I never even knew them. I was more invested in their first romance as teens tbh. I would read that book and probably like it (without the kinks and stuff lol). I should’ve known since this wasn’t on KU and I had to buy it on the authors website ugh. The writing was good, but the plot and pacing wasn’t.
2 stars for taking place in Orlando because books are never ever set in my city lol.

Wesley&Cooper’s story was so damn fun to read! One of my favorite things about this book was that it was so REAL. The emotions, the circumstances, the HEARTBREAK?! It was all so relatable. The connection you build with the characters is unreal. My soul ached for the all of them as FS takes us on a journey of discovery, heartache& growth.
Sweet story !
Basic teenage misunderstanding but it worked.
I found both of them super super sweet
The book was the good length
Low angst
A little bit sad most of the smut is memories from their Teen time. I would have prefer adult sexy time but well

Such a great book. I truly love this book. Wes and Cooper definitely got their HEA. I am so happy they got another chance at love
Loved it! This fake relationship story is slightly different to the usual because Wesley and Cooper have already been in a relationship but that was a long time ago and a lot of hate and hurt has been deeply imbedded. Immediately this gives the story some angst and lots of emotion. There was some humour, especially at the start, I particularly enjoyed Wesley having a stern word to his anatomy about being too responsive! The characters were both very believable and really likeable and it's hard to take a side of who was to blame. The reasons of the inital breakup sound quite insignificant but this is where maturity and hindsight comes in. At 19 these men were still young and didn't really know what they were doing. There is a depth of grief underlying in this story because Cooper's mum is terminally ill and that made me immediately want to have his back and for him to help himself to the love and comfort he truly deserves. As these two MC's rekindle their love they uncover all the secrets that were partly to blame for their inital demise. This story didn't take the easy way out where they just have a chat, a cuddle and everything is right. It is a mature and sensible solution and as a result the ending chapters were very credible and just what the reader needs. You will have a quivering lip throughout the story because there is a lot of turbulence. There is a really 'happy ever after' ending, which having gone through so much, was definitely needed. It's always a 5 star read when so much emotion is involved. I received an advance review copy for free, and Ieaving this review voluntarily.

So sweet! Beautiful with it's share of trauma, Come Fly With Me by Felicity Snow, is about a couple of boys who fall in love in high school. They have an awful breakup that lasts nine long years before they cross paths again with the intention of becoming fake boyfriends for a night. The night turns into a week but these two have some major challenges to overcome. The story is well-written with lots of steam, angst, and a lovely HEA.

There is nothing better than knowing that your person, the one your meant to live with fir the rest of your life, the one that makes you whole has been there all along.
It's a shame Wesley and Cooper have to trip over themselves, each other, and their best friend Riley to figure this out. The two found each other by chance at age 8, fell in love in high-school and then one day 9 years ago it ended, bad.
Now, Wesley's mom won't stop setting him up and he needs to bring a date to dinner to make it all stop. Somehow Cooper is the one he describes and a mess of good-bad decisions ensues bringing these two back into each other's lives so they can finally talk out what happened 9 years ago.
The problem is there still is no perfect resolution with all that's going on in Cooper's life and the thoughts he puts in his own head.
This book is a great roller coaster ride of emotions with a fantastic supporting cast that will have you laughing and tearing up.
