Frankie and Vanya‘s relationship was hot and felt realistic and genuine. By the end, the body horror went too gross for me, but that is me. I love when authors describe very detailed things (like parasite life cycles, pregnancy kink). It gives the writing so much life.

The cashier at B&N was immediately interested in the cover and I said she should totally give Rumfitt’s work a go. I certainly hope she checked the content warnings beforehand, cause I didn’t know or expect half the shit (hee, hee) in this book.

This book is fucked. It conveys the fears and environment facing trans people today in the most direct gruesome and disgusting way it can. Very effective, thoroughly unrecommendable.
