Thoroughly enjoyed the beginning and middle (as much as you can enjoy a book with the material this one covers) but the ending felt unsatisfying if impactful.

Being trans in the UK is a nightmare and this book encapsulates the imposed culture war on trans bodies in a way I haven’t seen so accurately done before. Viscerally upsetting and frankly disgusting, but maybe that’s just a sex thing

oh wyrm? - super gross and disgusting however i think there could have been more about the **** at the end... interesting thought piece on transphobia in the uk, felt like a modern horror in the way that dracula and frankenstein combine various media (letters, diaries etc, but brainwyrms uses social media and talks to the reader and stuff, more 'meta') but with less grace, like a set of bad immaterial documents. my praise comes in how quick i read it, despite everything it did make me turn the page.

A perfect snapshot of our era (mid 2010s to mid to late 2020s maybe, we'll see) and not just the darkest parts. The girls that get it GET it okay. So nasty. Pure disgust. Utterly vile. I laughed several times. Wonderful amazing book so nasty I love it. Ew. What a great read!
