I could not finish this book. It had some interesting moments, but the writing, as others have mentioned, was bad, adolescent.

I love fairy tales and happily ever afters, I'm also attracted to new renditions of classic stories. This book has both of those qualities. I therefore quite enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone with similar tastes (but not for children).

Having said that, after taking a moment to step back from being immersed in the story and enjoying the HEA, there are some ... things that could have been better about this book. There are certain grammar errors throughout, slightly awkward layout/format, it could have better/more fluid transitions, and there are many details that are not explained or completely ignored. I would love to have some...companion book to answer questions such as more information about the kingdom, royal lineage, connections to the Fay, how/why Daniel and Cinderella lost contact, and just more information all the way around.

Despite all this, I love the premise/idea behind the story, and plan on reading the rest of the series in the future.

I really enjoyed this take on the classic cinderella story.

I really am glad ella isn't some helpless girl waiting for a man to save her.

Also i always found the whole idea that the prince couldn't find cinderella easily so silly but this book have a good reason as to why he can't find her.

The slut-shaming was hardcore in this one.

It was funny and witty, hot and steamy, but lacked in the writing and creative part. I felt the book was too rushed and the author just wanted to push the characters together instead of making a story out of their journey. It was a good (and funny) premise/synopsis but I felt that the world they live in was a little sloppy, throwing everything into a mixing bowl and leaving out how to make a story flow right and organization of the magic and fay.
Overall, it was a fun book to read, but lacked in making the world organized in how it was explained and the backstory of the characters.

Some parts of the story made me laugh. Hence the two stars instead of one.

I found the story very disjointed and a bit all over the place. It skipped between events that were at least a month apart. This jumping about only occurred in the second half of the book and I had no idea what was happening at this point. I think this would have been fixed if the story was longer and more fleshed out.

I think this was suppose to be a novella, but the premise was for a full blown novel and couldn't be reduced to the word count.

I'll leave it at that.

May Sage is an amazing author who captures your attention throughout her book. I loved this spin on Cinderella! It is very modern and sexy yet still magical. I could not seem to put Cinderella down.

Next, her characters are developed well. Cinderella is a strong-willed woman who isn't going to just give in to King Dane. She is very intelligent and witty, yet she has a hard time trusting. Dane is every thing you would imagine a King should be. He loves his country, but he also loves women. Yet, he knows he must marry for an heir and sacrifice his former lifestyle. May also created a number of well developed side characters. May really put in effort to make all of her characters as real as possible for the reader.

My only problem with the book is the last few chapters seemed a bit rushed. It was still very good through the rushed part, but it just didn't hold up to the writing in the first 75% of the book. If it wasn't for this, I would have given 5 stars! Also, I do wish there had been more involvement of Lady Tremaine and the step-sisters. I understand that Cinderella is a lot older in this story than the original fairy tale, and this is just my own personal opinion.

All in all, May Sage had really created an amazing new world to spin her naughty takes on fairy tales. I am now hooked to her writing and will definitely be reading more of this series!

This was just bad with a capital B.

Never trust a book that has the word instable.

In the immortal words of Ollivander... nope, no, definitely not.

The writing was ATROCIOUS. And inconsistent. And completely and utterly unedited (more than that, it was absolutely rife with spelling, grammatical, and tense errors). And just... bad. So, even though the premise sounded right up my alley, the execution made this a total no-no for me.

Loved it

Absolutely loved this book and the characters that are in it. There is such depth to the characters that you fall in love with them. There is also great plot to go with. Along with steam and fluffy romance. It is definitely one of those books that you shouldn't love as much as I did.
