Carey's art continues to be wildly detailed and talented. This arc in particular showed that off with just the thorough thought put into Refuge. Also the plot points in this hit hard and built-up in a way that I really enjoyed. Overall the transition to this medium has worked really well and this was no exception.
Only problem is that it is not lessening my impulse to relisten to the entire Balance arc.

As a long-time listener of the podcast, of course I thought this was good. The depictions of Roswell and Paloma were almost exactly as I imagined them. I do wish some of the minor plots hadn't deviated from the podcast as much (where's Luca and Redmond?) but overall both the humor and the emotion of this arc came through perfectly.
This was my favorite arc from the podcast, and, as usual, this installment was beautifully written and illustrated. I wished I remembered more details of the podcast as I know they’ve been tweaking some small things here and there. However, they’re doing a fantastic job of keeping all the crucial details in place. I was curious how they would handle the time hopping aspect of this story, and I think it worked really well and didn’t feel clunky at all. I also think it was perfectly trackable for someone coming into this story without having listened to the podcast. Oh also, I definitely cried XD. They’ve been doing a great job of sprinkling in the Lunar Interlude beats into the main arcs. The next installment, Suffering Game, is one that I haven’t listened to twice, so I know a lot of it will feel very fresh to me. Can’t wait to read it!
