Excellent as always! This arc has lots of backstory and it's handled beautifully, emotionally, and concisely. Gorgeous to look at and emotional to read. As always, the details are the best part! Read each page closely -- it's worth your patience.
Blasted through in one sitting, and actually got moved to tears once again. The only downside is having to wait for the next volume again
It has been a hot minute since I listened to The Eleventh Hour arc and Hot Damn did I forget how raw it gets! I've enjoyed all The Adventure Zone graphics, & this is the best of the bunch yet. It's funny and vibrant and doesn't pull any punches. The McElroy's and Pietsch have managed to condense a huge arc into a weighty but tight narrative. I can't wait to get my grubby little fingers on The Suffering Game !
This book made me feel the same way the podcast did the first time I read it. I teared up over their backstories. Seeing it drawn out hit hard all over again.

😀
my opinion on the adventure zone, overall, has soured a bit with time but the balance arc still has a pretty cozy place in my heart and these graphic novels so perfectly capture what was so likeable about the early podcast.
