Sisters is another very fun graphic novel memoir from Raina Telgemeier. One of the best things to watch in her books are the facial expressions. As a teen, Raina clearly rode an emotional roller coaster and it shows in her face.

Of course, sibling interactions can be quite amusing to watch. Raina and her sister in particular know how to push the other's buttons and seem to take great pleasure in this activity.

My students will love watching the two girls driving each other up the wall. Many will also be able to relate to family road trips. This one is quite a doozy.

I am happy to have another amusing books to place in the hands of Smile fans. They have been clamoring for more.

cute, love this style, wish she had more books

I liked this one as much as, if not more than, Smile. I think it did a really good job of encapsulating what it's like to live with siblings in a house that is way to small as you start to grow up. It also built on the theme of not fitting in that she explored in Smile. It's just so relatable. This one was also pretty hilarious at points.

This is a story about the author. She relives becomes a big sister.to her two younger siblings and what it was like growing up with them. The younger sister she got was not the younger sister she expected. Amara is a grouchy baby and a grouchy kid, and Raina finds her exhausting.

A trip to visit family changes their relationship and they realize they must learn to get along.

This was another cute book that Finley and I read together. A great graphic novel about the author's childhood - touching on the subject of two sisters tumultuous relationship as they grow. Cute stories that had us laughing, and serious parts that had us discussing the relationship Finley has with her own sister. I am glad we read this one.

Raina's books are great to read together with your kids or have your kids read alone. Don't miss these ones.
