Ok this is gonna be tough without giving away any spoilers .But…
…This was somewhat of what one expected from the rebirth title oneshot , with much of the issue focused on the back story of Terry becoming the new batman and yet at the end we witnessed the cliff-hanger of a lifetime.

So Avert your eyes if you don’t want spoilers , Coz My ratings are based solely on these Spoilers and the art which is always in case of the Batman Beyond title weird to the say the least and hence always a turn off …

Spoiler Joker is being bought back to life by Terminal , And While that is pretty silly and while it does bring up a new set of challenge for Terry , one wonders Why is Joker even required? I mean there are tons of plots that can be played for Terry and they will be good and yet the biggest, baddest , most iconic Villain in Comic book industry is being bought back and I Hate it . The Reason? It’s not Bruce who’ll fight him.

Call me stuck up but for me Joker was special because of his interactions with Bruce as Batman , The two had the polar opposite spectrum of ideals and it was as if witnessing two sides of a coin when one saw these two brawl it out . And sure the argument for this is “Bruce is imaginatory” But so is Joker and it just feels like tainting the legacy of Bruce as Batman to know he failed to cure the one chronic illness his City had i.e Joker during his reign as a caped crusader . This is something the Beyond title has never done but apparently disrespecting Bruce is all game now .

Not bad. I'd rather watch the cartoon though.

I mean, I guess someone was going to have to bring the Joker back to life. Usually that would make me dismiss this out of hand, but this cult of the Joker think is very clever. Also, I can't deny how much I love the idea of Barbara as commissioner.
