It has been a few weeks since I read this, and it was very dark, so I'd look for a complete list of content warnings from Katee if you are concerned there might be some content you'd like to avoid.onlyonebookshelf's review against another edition

I like the changes that Monroe's very presence kick-starts, though I wish we were shown more on how Broderick learns to accept/explore the side of him that's beyond the persona of the calm caretaker that he had taken up for his brothers. There's a glimpse of it, but the story seems to focus more on Shiloh and Monroe, which is cool, too.
This book got quite a few laughs out of me! Love the progressiveness of it. I think it's better than Abel's story, but I'm not satisfied with the ending.
I'm still confused about the state of the world that this story is set in. It's urban, and there isn't any magic, but there is this city or community, the valley, where murder and leader takeovers are a thing? There's no larger government than the community's own leaders and the rules that they set? Is this a post-apocalyptic world or what? That's how I've been reading it at least.

Broderick, Monroe, and Shiloh were scorching and I enjoyed every minute of their story.
I can’t wait for Cohen’s book ☺️
