I listened to the audiobook version and I think I would have benefited from having the copy for a tandem read which definitely influences my rating. I struggled to keep who was who straight in my head for a while, especially during the perspective changes and going from calling them their first names to calling them by last names.

I did think it was a fun read and I'd like to read it again. It really picked up part way through and was very much hooked.

I had a GREAT time with this space adventure. the marketing copy makes it sound like the murder is the precipitating event of this book. that's not really the case, and believing it would be the case kind of made the first half-to-two-thirds of the book feel like a pending case. but even with marketing copy that perhaps doesn't serve the book well, this book was a great great time. excited to read more by this author.
