I couldn’t get over the lie. I’m sorry, I just could not.

I don’t think there’s anything that could possibly justify it. And I think that’s part of the problem. THE LIE WASN’T EVEN ADDRESSED.

The first half felt like an easy-going early 2000s romcom and I loved the quick wit they had together. But Ben was a walking red flag when Fallon first met him. Without the knowledge revealed by the manuscript, he still took advantage of her insecurities to weasel his way into her life.

I’m also laughing at the parallels between The Last Song and this book lmfao: “sorry I started a fire that ruined you/your dad’s life and kept it from you while you fell in love with me”

I did love the little cameos by Miles and Tate.

After re-thinking about this book, I'm going to change my rating.
I now realize that things that Ben did during the story is not okay.
Honestly, I did enjoy it like some cheesy Lifetime movie.

Actual Rating: 3.5
I had heard so much about this book but it was kind of a disappointment for me. Every time i asked someone to recommend me a CoHo book they would say "November 9" but I guess this wasn't the book for me.
This book circles around a girl named Fallon who went through an accident in the past. One day she meets Ben in an restaurant and that's where the story begins. Fallon and Ben continue to meet each other once a year on the same day, November 9.
i really liked the characters of this book. Both Ben and Fallon are beautifully written. they have their flaws but you can't help but love them for that.
This book has some great plot twists. there I was thinking that the book was going to end and BAM! Here comes a plot twist that I never dreamed of. Colleen Hoover is a genius when it comes to keeping the readers interested.
Now comes the part that why the low rating? I personally think that the complete plot was a little too unrealistic. Okay I agree that it's fiction; it can be like that but I just hoped that the story would be a little close to reality. it just felt a little out of place, the "meeting once a year" part.
Another problem was that the book was "too" intimate for my liking. At one point I just wanted to "dnf" it but I just pushed my self to finish it. I did skip almost all the intimate parts and let me tell you that they were a lot.
At the end I have to say that I love the writing style. The choice of words is beautiful.

For really enjoying this only 4 months ago, I completely forgot the second half of the book. I also would only give it a generous 4 starts this time

this is the first book I have read by this author, and if the rest of them are as good as this one, I’ll be a fan for life. Love how it was written, kept my attention and my emotions were all over the place…. Very good read!

This was my 8th Colleen Hoover book that I've read and I don't know who she had to sell her soul to for her amazing gift, but thankfully she did it ;) Her writing keeps getting better and better even if she does rip out my heart along the way. This book had everything...an amazing meet-cute, romance, book world references galore, and twists and turns that I did not see coming!Read this book NOW people, just do it!

she needs to stop writing books asap. i hate how her characters revolve around being writers and she makes the plot twist always be in the form of a book or writing or smthg
