Really good book. Had me in all the feels. Didn't see the twist coming at all. (Looking back maybe I should have.) Some cringe parts of the book but very enjoyable.

I know there are a lot of people that are not big on Colleen Hoover, which I get. There really isn’t a lot of character building and the writing is somewhat predictable. This book did have an unexpected twist which kept me engaged enough to finish it.

Holy shit this book was so bad. Please don’t read it, I’ll spoil it right now, the mmc set the fmc’s house on fire (he didn’t know her at the time), inserted himself into her life, they fall in love, he keeps that secret, she finds out, AND STILL FALLS IN LOVE WITH HIM!!!! HE SET HER HOUSE ON FIRE AND SHE STILL FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM!!!!!! And in one of the first love professions the mmc says “i love you, Fallon. More than poetry, more than words, more than music, more than your boobs. Both of them. Do you have any idea how much that amounts to?” WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?! I hated this book

It was a struggle to get through this one but I'm glad I pushed through. I actually liked the twist and it brought the book together for me.

i love the whole book within a book idea so this was one of colleen's books that excited me more than others. i generally enjoyed the characters throughout most of the story but HATED that plot twist that came so late in the story. since the twist came so late the ending just felt rushed in what was otherwise a good book, and, to me, one of her better stories.

quick read. read in one day. yes it was really good and made me tear up a bit but i really just would enjoy a book where the main character doesn’t need a man to make her feel beautiful and confident. i don’t think fallon would be able to make it on her own without ben which doesn’t make me feel the greatest. lol

Inhalt

Herzschmerz pur

it’s a nope from me. i thought people maybe overplayed the problematic aspects of this book but nope. there was much here that could have been fun including possibly ben but the consent issues really mad me squirm. maybe i’ll try some other collen books at some point but i’ve heard this is a common issue with her. unfortunate as i could see a good story under the mess.

verity still slaps.
