i've just been do disappointed with the recent books loretta chase has been putting out. class difference romance is easy to mess up (if you don't actually, like, consider the consequences and just end up having everything ~work out magically~ because the duke is just so powerful and the heroine is so wonderful) and this is an entire trilogy of them.
for all leonie is supposed to be the one with her head screwed on straight, she certainly lost it quite frequently in this book. lisburne was a non-entity. between the two of them, i had about zero interest in their happy ending. there are no stakes for either of them, really.
i'm not sure what happened to loretta chase after don't tempt me, but the heart seems to have gone right out of her books.

Not quite as well done as the first 2 in the series--but still good enough to make me happy to know these characters. On to the next!
