Definitely not as good as the first, and I don't really understand the ending.

A wonderful conclusion to this duology tackling faith, magic, and fate.

I loved this world, the ancient technology uncovered between two peoples, the prophecy. The writing is great, and the mysteries uncovered were engaging. A complex enough world to be satisfying, and a fantastic ending.

I almost gave up around 100 pages because the beginning was so slow! I pushed through and was glad to get to the conclusion, but it definitely wasn’t as strong as the first.

I don’t know why authors insist on separating love interests in sequels when the romance storyline was the driving force of the first book.

I must admit I was first drawn to this series solely based on the covers because... I mean look at them, they are GORGEOUS!!!! and the turkish publishing house did an amazing job with them because i couldn't believe my eyes when i set my eyes on the hardbacks, i was completely in awe.

as for the story, i really liked the worldbuilding and characters. it was really interesting and i especially enjoyed the magic aspect. it was nice to see fleshed out female characters and proper reasons for their actions etc. perhaps my favorite thing was the open queerness tho, we need more of that in real life
