Just Haven’t Met You Yet follows Laura, a journalist for a lifestyle website who focuses on love stories. In regards to her love life, it is spent searching for an epic love like the one her parents had. While traveling to the place her parents fell in love to write a new piece, Laura picks up the wrong luggage at baggage claim. Getting to her hotel and rummaging through the contents, she decides the owner of the case and her are meant to be, and she is finally going to get her own happy ending meet-cute. With the help of a grumpy, local cabdriver, she tries to find the man she labels “Hot Suitcase Guy”.
This book was so cute. It was exactly what I was hoping for. It honestly makes me feel like my expectations for love and my own hopefulness for a meet-cute have sky-rocketed to the levels of Laura herself. As the book continues and we learn how Laura feels about Ted based on her own inner thoughts, I was rooting for her to not choose Jasper. Regardless of how much she wanted to fall in love with Hot Suitcase Guy, the Hot Cabdriver story is JUST as much of a heartwarming story. This book made me feel all warm and tingly inside.
P.S… Suki and Jasper getting together was DEFINITELY not in my list of predictions but I genuinely loved it????

A refreshing and realistic love story (but still romantic enough)

This was cute! I was planning to read it in 2022 and just kept pushing it off 🙈 It was honestly not what I was expecting at all but I really enjoyed it! I loved the twist of the story not playing out how you would expect it to based on the synopsis and was honestly very glad she ended up with the person she did! ☺️ there were parts that were a little slow and had me zoning out a little so I’d probably give this more of a 3.75 stars but overall, I enjoyed it and it kept me interested enough throughout so I bumped it up to 4 stars 🤷🏻♀️
