Read this with no expectation because in my POV, you will find no clear plot or inspirational lifestyle/messages that much–it brings you nowhere but I kind of enjoy ‘nowhere’ stories in this book.

this is such a vivid book, with stories that feel so tangible that you can almost reach out and touch them. i felt like i was transported into these vignettes with eve as my tour guide, she has a more polished and poetic tone to her compared to joan didion who tends to feel at arms length at times. eve writes with such humour and honesty painting such beautiful and scathing pictures you can’t help but keep reading. am absolute whirlwind.

Eve babitz the woman she is... Her personality sparkles off the page she is so insightful about people and how she relates to them, more importantly she is funny as hell. LGBTQ queen for the ages
