3.75 Like Hercules, Zuri is so innocent! Even more innocent than H, and the way she is first tricked and used bothered me!
Don't get me wrong everything turns into passion and more. I think I'd really like to see how these 3 grow in several years and see if they make it.

Now the fun part- holy moly this was another freaking hot explosive, sexy read. Though I dare say it is tame by comparison

Very graphic & spicy but wish it had a more in depth storyline. The middle of the book was somewhat boring and dragged on. I really liked the ending and am happy they got their happily ever after!

This is the first full read I had of the Wicked Villains, and yes, I am reading it out of order. I did enjoy the ties to Neon Gods and I did love reading a female Dom. It was interesting seeing this trio together and their dynamic. The spice was yummy especially when Alaric was the sub. When these characters opened up to their feelings it was everything,
and when Zuriel (sp)? (side effects of being an audiobooks) took her strength and self control back with her father was everything.
It does give a peek into BDSM, so if you're not comfortable with it which is completely okay this series is not for you. Now personally is not something I would want to completely play in, reading allows the safety to explore.

I wasn't planning to read this book but after reading The Maleficent Faerie I knew I had to. It just took me awhile to finally pick this up and I'm glad I finally did.

The Sea Witch is another amazing retelling by Rebecca F. Kenney. This one is about the sea witch and mermaid, Averil. She's the daughter of his nemesis and a princess of the sea. The witch sees Averil saving a human prince and knows that by making a deal with her, he could get what he wanted, a revenge.

Averil wanted to save the prince because he looked so free and happy when he laughed with his men but the more she got to know him-- the more she saw that he wasn't the kind of a person she'd want as her mate. Mates didn't have to be perfect but she wanted hers to be kind.

Averil has always wanted a different life than her sisters. She was an exploder and curious about everything to do with the earthern parts of the world while her sisters seemed to bee happy with the way things were in their world. She also wanted a better love than they had with their mates. She wanted something fiercer, deeper and all-consuming.

It all started with a deal but even if the witch and Averil didn't want to fall for each other-- they couldn't help it. He had to teach her about things he didn't understand to get his revenge, like kissing, dancing, human etiquette etc. Averil always knew that he was there for her whenever she needed help, even if at times he was grumpy about it. The witch couldn't help but become possessive of her and she just couldn't help but wanting him more than she wanted the prince.

All in all once again this author managed to write one of my favorite retellings! It was great to see these two slowly fall for each other and in the end they saved each other.
