I wish I could read stories like this easily in other book forms. Crowd-funded indie comics are doing the heavy lifting when it comes to trans and general queer diversity in erotica and romance for adults.

(There's complex reasons for this in terms of gatekeeping by cishets in publishing and because when we do write for our community, they demand better.)

There's something in Ambrosia for everyone. No doubt very dependent on your personal preferences and kinks.

Like any anthology, a mixed bag. The introductions made me happy because the stories only got so much space and I wouldn't missed certain elements of who these characters are. That said, I wish there'd be more room for the introductions to be less elaborate as we could've just learned these things in text.

I'm looking forward to reading the trans femme and non-binary companion book Nectar.

I love that they included content warnings for everything, had tons of varied representation, and included an ace one!

It being an anthology, not every story was for me, but they have content warnings before each one so you can make an informed decision about whether or not it's one you personally would want to read, which is really helpful. They're all beautifully drawn and there's quite a variety of styles, some stories are more emotional and some are just fun, there'll be something in there for you (if you're nb, transmasc, or into us lol).

There was one story that aligned so specifically with things I'm also into, it felt really heartening to know that someone else has the same kind of desires and feels comfortable enough to publish them

I read Nectar first and think it’s a better anthology. The stories here are still very good, I just thought the anthology as a whole needed to be refined a bit more.
