The characters read young, I had to keep reminding myself they were high school students and not middle school age

2.5 stars from me it was good in the way that the creepy factor was really there but it started to get so repetitive and i wanted to dnf at the last 6 chapters but pushed through

This is a spoiler but it’s the first thing I want to say which is; I am not a fan of open endings. To a certain degree I don’t mind them. But this just ends with the hope that they survive destroying the mine, only to then give us one last scene that maybe confirms they’re dead. I don’t know, I’m just not in to that ambiguousness.

I read the audiobook so there’s a chance I’ll spell names wrong.

I really enjoyed the friendship between Clem and Nina and then Lisey and Piper. It felt very real and genuine and I liked how they were all basically ride or die immediately.

I do wish we’d gotten a bit more attention paid to Nina and Clem’s feelings for each other. There’s so little to it, it almost feels like it wouldn’t have changed anything to have it included or not.

I actually really enjoyed this book. The storyline was so unique, and I loved the characters.

I will say that the horror element was well done, so well done in fact that I had to start a more lighthearted book to read for right before I went to bed so I was able to sleep. The book reminded me of actual cases in real life, so that connection made the book feel more real which was a good but terrifying experience.

Read this book, but read at your own risk!

A fun, quick, supernatural read that satisfied my supernatural craving. It wasn’t the best, most thought out book in my opinion and I feel like the resolution lacked a little, but if you’re not looking for anything too serious, this is a great book. It was a well described book that made it super easy to imagine the story. I think it was like $9 on Nook when I bought it and while I don’t regret paying that much for it, I wouldn’t have paid more.

This was just ok for me story wise but it had some freaky/creepy imagery so I bumped it to a 3.5 instead of a 3.
