This novella, Book 2 in Samantha MacLeod’s Loki series, describes the preparations for Caroline and Loki’s wedding, and the honeymoon in another realm he whisks Caroline away for. It was easy to get lost in this story. I loved the beautiful descriptions of Alfheim and the creepy depictions of the Light-elves. There were some laughs and surprises amongst the steamy scenes between the newlyweds.
Be aware that things get violent and bloody. It was nice to see Caroline get to save the day again, though I cringed at what she had to go through to do so. And I may have overlooked this, but it wasn’t clear to me why Loki put Caroline in so much danger for this honeymoon.
Recommended for those who enjoy Norse mythology and/or erotic paranormal romance.
I read this story as part of the Loki Series Box Set. I received an ARC from the author and volunteered to review it.
