My first audio book to finish.
I enjoyed the story and the narrator.
The stars given are for the narrator also. Because of her I was able to finnish it

I started Siege and Storm first, and was thinking I'd skip the novellas all together, but when the too clever fox was mentioned on the first few pages... I just picked it up and devoured it in a few minutes.

That was one hell of a novella.

I liked how Leigh Bardugo even took the time to make a short novella about a myth that was being told in the world she created. Usually, authors get lazy and would fail to elaborate on stuff like that. I think these are important to really engage the reader.

The myth of the The Too Clever Fox has a lesson of its own (which really won me over). If you think you're clever, think again. There is always someone cleverer than you.

I didn't it a 5 star because I saw the clues on what would happen. I don't want to spoil anything but I would have to say it was a bit predictable... And unpredictability is one thing I love in books.

Still, this novella was great!

Warning: This review has a SPOILER.

“It is always the same trap,” she said gently. “You longed for conversation. The bear craved jokes. The gray wolf missed music. The boar just wanted someone to tell her troubles to. The trap is loneliness, and none of us escapes it. Not even me.”

Just about the right amount of dark and yet still thrilling and interesting.
