✨ The Title/Cover Draw:
The book had been getting a lot of early buzz. Thank you to @netgalley and Ballantine Books for allowing me to read this ahead of publication.

I marked this lower because it has several implausible plot points. But the story moved quickly and I was invested in the characters and wanted the best outcome for them. An easy fun read.

Love the main Maid character. She seems a bit on the spectrum - very literal, very diligent. As an aspiring super clean person , I love the descriptions of how Molly see dirt .. v relatable! The “tied with a bow” ending did not sit well with me. Ended too cleanly and happily ever after with a much more favorable view of the police & work conditions & resolving visa issues than realistic.

a few details about the end were uncomfortable/unnecessary but overall, a great mystery with an endearing main character.

3.5. I liked how fast paced and easy to read the book was. The ending was not great, but usually horrors and mysteries have disappointing endings to me so that’s not new. For a debut novel, I was really impressed.
