AHH THE ENDING! I definitely didn't piece it together my self, but there were questions I had that made way k of sense once Stevie explained them. I genuinely think it was a good finale. I also was so tense whenever anything was happening because of anticipation.

I just can't give this story a 5 star because David really got on my nerves. He made literally no sense and Stevie was just into that I guess? I don't want to give away that David isnt involved in the murders so I'm going to cover this up. Anyways, I liked him so much more at the end when he finally wasn't being all weird and confusing and him and Stevie were having good moments. Why he wasn't like that the rest of the series I won't understand. I still love Nate though. Nothing could make me dislike Nate.

What is it about?
I will not tell you a lot because this is all spoiler free. The first book in this series follows Stevie Bell who is accepted into Ellingham Academy, a prestigious school for very talented young minds. The school only accepts a handful of students each year, and they are basically chosen for their talent or passion. Stevie's passion is true crime and solving crimes. Her interest in attending Ellingham Academy is especially fueled by the fact that a double-kidnapping happened at the academy the year of its opening (in the 1930's). In fact, Iris and Alice Ellingham (the wife and daughter of the founder) were kidnapped and the crime has never been solved. The only clue left behind was a letter signed Truly Devious (Look a riddle! Time for fun! Should we use a rope or gun? ...) and over the years the case has gone cold. As Stevie enters the Academy, a new series of murders start happening and she has 2 different crimes to investigate...

What did I think ?
Listen I loved this conclusion and this series as a whole. They are super fun and addicting. I read each book in one day basically and couldn't put them down.
They are of course not the best books out there, but I think that they are really fun and a good change of pace from what I usually read. I love the representation of anxiety in these novels and Stevie is not exactly lovable, but she is really interesting to follow.
This conclusion gave me everything I wanted and I am happy about it.
